Arch 468: In Tune

APPLICATIONS FOR THIS PROJECT ARE NOW CLOSED.

The successful candidates for the In Tune project have now been selected and contacted. We received an extremely high number of applications and unfortunately do not have the resources to give feedback to everyone who applied.

Arch 468 is looking for the best brand new pieces of opera or music theatre.  We will choose projects at their genesis that would benefit from a period of development and a public showing of the work in progress.

From January, Arch 468 will stage public ’book in hand’ performances of the best pieces submitted.

Each piece will be facilitated by a company of emerging artists who will be given space at Arch 468 to develop their work.  Each company will have one evening a week for four weeks. On the final Saturday, the companies will have access to the arch between either 10 am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm, to work towards presenting their work that evening.

Who should apply?

We’re looking for composers, writers, lyricists or creative teams with a musical idea that needs to be seen!  Development, rather than rehearsal is the aim of this project.

We are looking for directors to work on the pieces, whether you have experience of directing music theatre and opera, or whether you have always wanted to give this genre a go!

We are also looking for performers, musicians and singers to take part in this development process, preferably with experience of working in music theatre.

Dates: 4th – 30th January and 1st – 28th February 2010. Final rehearsal dates TBC. Performance dates 30th January and 28th February 2010
