As part of our Prospects Season 2010, Arch 468 is pleased to announce the launch of Arch 468: On Record, a brand new initiative aimed at nurturing the best in new audio drama.

We’re looking for writers with a radio play they’re burning to have heard and emerging directors to direct each play we record.

Arch 468: Prospects aims to:

1.– Record as many new radio plays as possible.

2.– engage audiences in the development of new plays and audio drama.

3.– integrate awareness of actors and audience in the writer’s process.

4.– give writers at all stages of development the opportunity to hear their play read, recorded and made publicly available via the Arch 468 website.

5.- promote Arch 468 as a supportive home for emerging writers.

Arch 468 will record as many new audio plays as we can, facilitated by an emerging director.

Dates: September - December 2010

WRITERS get to

1.– have their play recorded and heard by an audience.

2.– learn about what bits of their play work and what doesn’t.

3.– join the Arch 468 community and access specific feedback from fellow artists.

4.– have their work considered for further development and programming at Arch 468.

DIRECTORS get to

1.–work with a wide range of new plays and writers.

2.– be involved in the development of the work.

3.– join the Arch 468 community and be part of the contemporary theatre dialogue.

4.–broaden their knowledge of the contemporary theatre scene.

5.– have their work considered for further development and programming at Arch 468.

DIRECTORS: Please submit a CV and cover letter saying what excites you about Arch 468:On Record by email to onrecord@arch468.com  with DIRECTOR in the subject line.
